Welcome Message

Like any surgical procedures, rhinoplasty has evolved based on improved surgical techniques that survive the test of time and patient increasing expectations. As in most cosmetic procedures, the vast majority of advances for rhinoplasty are from the teachings of surgical experience to younger surgeons through operative training, textbooks, lectures and symposia. The difficulty of developing randomized studies and multicenter analysis for cosmetic procedures contributes to the progression via traditional modes of teaching. Cosmetic surgery is unique among other surgical specialties due to changing trends, racial and regional ethnic preferences that drive the patient desires to what is

considered an esthetic result. In no other procedure is such differences clear as is for rhinoplasty. The operation is individually customized with respect to current ethnic and cultural norms. In modern rhinoplasty surgery no single procedure or approach can provide such a vast array of patient desires for beauty and functionality. Surgeons have to be armed with multiple techniques that are utilized in concert to give predictable results. Cosmetic rhinoplasty remains one of the most challenging facial cosmetic procedures. This is unlikely to change despite many advances and changes in this field.

The first Dubai rhinoplasty symposia is an exciting opportunity to share and learn the most recent trends and techniques of this complex procedure. We invite you to enjoy three days of comprehensive lectures and discussion with world renowned rhinoplasty surgeons. We are honored to have a most exceptional faculty and welcome all surgeons to the vibrant city of Dubai in anticipation of a most successful meeting.

“More than any other operation, rhinoplasty poses challenges which taxes so many aspects of a surgeon’s character: precision, judgment, artistry, restraint, imagination, and courage. The multitude of anatomical variations of the nose and the numerous variables encountered during rhinoplasty means that every surgery is different from the next. In addition, the hundreds of techniques described, each with its own nuances and pitfalls make rhinoplasty a very difficult operation to learn and impossible to master.  For these reasons, the study of rhinoplasty is best conducted through a stage in which the techniques, philosophies, and lessons of those who are most experienced in this

 procedure can be shared.

It is my privilege to participate as scientific course director for the inaugural Dubai Rhinoplasty Course. I am honored to join some of the finest rhinoplasty surgeons in the world to serve as instructors and guides of this complex and beautiful operation. All of us faculty members feel lucky to have the opportunity to share our experience with other surgeons in Dubai. We hope this is just the beginning of this relationship. There is no doubt that with continued study and interest through courses like this one, continued advancements and excellence in rhinoplasty will occur here and throughout the world.”
